Identify two ways in which the carbon is stored for a very long time

1.one way:  If the organism is rapidly buried it may be transformed over millions of years into coal, oil, or natural gas. The carbon can be stored for million years.
2. Another way: If carbon is stored as chemical energy in the cells of plants or animals the carbon can be stored until the organism/plant dies. That means if the organism live for million years then the carbon can be stored for million years.
