Some plants rely on the wind to reproduce an example is it’s important for plants to use the forces of nature to reproduce because 1. 1a white tuft of dandelion seeds 2a spiked burrs surrounding seeds 3a hard shell on a walnut? 2. 1b require pollination to reproduce 2b reproduce only asexually 3b cannot move about freely?
1a and 3b.
I don't know if I read that right, but dandelion tufts blow away and plant because of the wind, otherwise they cant move freely.
1. 1a White tuft of dandelion seeds
3b cannot move about freely
The White tuft of dandelion seeds refers to the feathery filaments and seeds. It is carried along with moving air away from the parent plant. The wind carries the seeds of dandelion to other places. Once the seeds find suitable substratum and growth conditions, they germinate and form a new plant.
Since plants can not move from one place to another in search of better growth conditions and substratum, they depend on air, water, other animals, etc. for dispersal of their seeds.
