The human skeletal system is made up of two different type of skeleton namely axial skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. Among all the options given below, option E which states that it protects the organs such as hearts and lungs are specific to axial skeleton because it is involved in protection of internal organs whereas the appendicular skeletons aids in body movement.  

The appendicular skeletons region includes shoulder girdle, arms and forearms, hands, pelvis, thighs and legs, and feet and ankles.

The axial skeletons region includes skull, middle ear, ossicles, hyoid bone, rib cage, vertebral column, and sternum.
