How did fossils of trees get in anartica

Fossils of trees were found in Antarctica by the expeditions of Robert Falcon Scott and the researches of Rice University, USA.

Explanation:

Robert Scott’s expedition to Beardamore glacier of Antarctica proved that there were forests by their findings of fossils.  

Coniferous tree’s fossils of about 100 million years ago were found in the Alexander Island; research on fossilized pollen by Rice University states the presence of tundra about 55 million years ago in Antarctic Peninsula; the pollen record shows the then species of plants and the decline of forest in Antarctica.

It was found that Antarctica had a temperature of million years ago before the huge ice sheets were started to form by glaciation.
