An increase in temperature will lead to hot air. The hot air can hold more water, so when it comes down back to Earth it creates harsher storms. This may happen in some places, but the opposite would be happening in other areas.

In other areas, the increased rate of evaporation can dry up the ground really quick. When the water finally comes down, the ground is so dry that the water just brushes over it, without being absorbed fast enough. as a result, the ground does stays dry. This is how droughts occur.
