The Calvin cycle, also called light independent reactions, is the second stage of photosynthesis. The Calvin cycle uses the products of the light stage, which are ATP and NADPH molecules, to synthesize sugar molecule (C6H12O6). This means that if the Calvin cycle stopped working, ATP and NADPH cannot be used while sugars will not be produced. Therefore, if the Calvin cycle stopped working, the concentrations of ATP and NADPH molecules will increase while the concentration of sugars will decrease.
