Explanation:

The plasma membrane proteins may be be of two types.

1) Integral proteins; Integral proteins are embedded in membrane because most of integral proteins mostly contain hydrophobic side chain. These proteins are strongly attached to plasma membrane and they can be only removed by using biological detergents, non-polar solvent and denaturing agents.

2) Peripheral proteins; These proteins do not interact with hydrophobic core of membrane. They usually interact with plasma membrane through lipid polar head or integral proteins.
