Limbic system

Explanation:

The set of structures in the brain that are responsible for dealing with memory and emotions constitutes the limbic system.

The system is responsible for the reinforcement of behaviour as well as for responding to the emotional stimuli by regulating it endocrinally or autonomically.

There are four parts of the limbic system which include:

1. The amygdala

2. The hippocampus

3. The thalamus

5. The hypothalamus

The system is located on either side of the thalamus beneath the temporal lobe of the cerebrum.
