3. Currently somatic cell nuclear transfer or Roslin technique is used as follows:

In somatic cell nuclear transfer a nucleus from a somatic cell is taken and injected into an unfertilized ovum of the surrogate mother. Somatic cell could be taken from udders, blood,skin etc.

The somatic cell and nucleus is allowed to fertilized artificially by providing medium and let it divide to become an embryo and placed in surrogate mother to develop.
