It is taken in by another living organism and converted back in CO2 therefore creating a cycle.

Photosynthesis is a process in which carbondioxide enters the plant body through tiny holes called stomata and water is absorbed by the plant through roots. These two raw materials combine with each other in leaves in the presence of sunlight which produces two products i. e. oxygen and glucose. Glucose is stored in different parts of plant such as stem, roots and seeds while some oxygen is used by the plants during respiration and the extra amount of oxygen is released in the atmosphere through stomata. This oxygen is used by other animals for respiration purpose.
