How does DNA relate to a Gene and an Allele?

DNA is the genetic code in all living things, a gene is a section of DNA that carries the code for making a specific protein and an allele is an alternative form of a gene (I forgot what alternative means lol)
DNA is located inside of a gene (as it is present in all living things / organisms). As an allele is an ALTERNATIVE FORM of a gene, DNA too would be located inside of an allele.

Someone please tell me if my answer is wrong or right :,)
