2. Tail length is controlled by the "T" gene that has dominant allele "T" and recessive
allele "t". Explain the pattern of inheritance for this gene in the three cubs. A fourth
cub, now deceased, was found to have no tail at all. Examination of the cub revealed
many unfinished proteins in the cells near the end of the spine (where the tail should
begin). Give a possible explanation for the "no tail” phenotype.
