emissions from landfills, coal mining, agriculture, and oil and gas systems. The Administration is making progress in these sectors, and
in January 2015 announced a new goal to cut methane emissions from the oil and gas sector by 40-45% from 2012 levels by 2025
Long term, all but one is an advantage of these procedures. That is
reduction in a potent greenhouse gas.
