A Cell is like a Sports Stadium - Home. A Vacuole is like a locker room because they both sore important things. A Mitochondria is like lights because the both provide energy for the thing. A Nucleus is like a coach because they both control the activities of the thing.
Explanation:
Nucleus -
The nucleus is the center of the cell. It is surrounded by a layer of DNA and contains most of the RNA in the cell. This means that this is the "brain" of the cell. This is where "decisions" are made. It is like the control room of the cell, where the "boss" of the cell is.
The nucleas of the cell is like the owners office in a sports arena. It is in the owners office where the franchise and arena are controlle dand where all decisions are made.
Ribosomes -
The Ribosomes are extremely small molecules floating in the cytoplasm. They synthesize proteins so that the proteins can be used by the cell.
The ribosomes are like the Maintenance people. The stadium cant be used unless these people are there to clean and help fix everything
Golgi apparatus -
A C shaped group of flat sacs. The Golgi apparatus directs and delivers newly synthesized proteins.
This is like the ushers around the stadium who direct people where to go.
Vacuoles -
The vacuoles are like storage bins for the cells. They are found in both animal and plant cells. They are storage bubbles that store food and other nutrients for the cells.
This is like the giant refergerators in the arena. All the extra food and supplies are stored for when they are needed.
Plasma Membrane -
This is the barrier of the cell. It controls what can enter the cell and what can exit it.
The plasma membrane is like the ticket collectors at a sports arena. They control who gets in and out.
Mitochondria -
Rod-shaped structures that provide energy that allows the cell to function.
The mitochondria are the power lines to the stadium. If the power goes out everything stops.
Rough Endoplasmic reticulum -
The rough endoplasmic reticulum is a series of flattened membranous sacks stuffed with studded with ribosomes on the outer surface. This is the major site of protein synthesis in the cells.
The rough endoplasmic reticulum is like the main concourse of the arena becuase that is where all the maitenence people are.
Cytoplasm -
The fluid that fills the entire cell. This is where all of the previously mentioned parts of the cells are.
The cytoplasm is like the structure of the arena. Components such as the walls and floors of the arena.
And that is why a cell is like a
Sports Arena
Lysosomes -
Where the enzymes are stored. The lysosomes are directly responsible for the death of the cell, but can also cause a cell to flourish if they are filled properly.
This is like the seats because if the seats are filled the entire stadium functions properly but if the seats are empty everything collapses.
Smooth Endoplasmic reticulum -
The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is a three dimensional arrangement of tubules that do not contain any ribosomes. In muscles it is used as storage and release container of calcium ions. Calcium ions control contraction and relaxation of the muscle.
The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is like the food vendors because it stores and releases energy for the cell, just like food vendors store and distribute food.
Cytoskeleton -
The Cytoskeleton helps the maintain the shape and the structure of the cell. It is a structural protein.
The Cytoskeleton is like the foundation of the building and all of the major supports.
