Human activity has huge effects on the carbon cycle. Burning fossil fuels, changing land use, and using limestone to make concrete all release huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere.

Humans add more carbon dioxide into the air by just breathing although all plants can easily convert the carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen. However, the human race is putting more carbon dioxide than our ecosystems can handle.
