Would this relationship be biotic or abiotic and why?

One example of the antlion experiencing competition is maybe when there is not enough prey around. The sandpit might not attract prey for the antlions at a particular time. This is competition since the antlion is competing for prey but the environment won't let the prey attract to the sandpit. The antlion won't have prey at the moment so it is competing hard to get prey for its own life.
