Identify the independent and dependent variables Mindy and her lab group are given 2 aloe vera plants as test subjects and are asked to create a testable hypothesis of their choice and design a scientific experiment to test that hypothesis. Mindy’s hypothesis is as follows: “If aloe vera plants receive no sunlight then they will die.” Mindy designs an experiment where she will take both plants and put them in a window next to one another and plant them in the same size pot with the same kind of soil and they will receive the same amount of water at the same times over the course of a month. One plant however will be kept in the sunlight while the other will have a box placed over it to prevent it from receiving any light
