•It also provides mechanical support, which allows the cells to perform essential activities like movement and division.  

•In the eukaryotes, the cytoskeleton within the cell is formed of filamentous proteins.  

•The three prime classes of elements, which differ in size and in composition of protein forms the cytoskeletons.  

•These are microtubules, actin filaments, and intermediate filaments.
