Explain two things we can learn from fossils. (3 points)

We can tell how life existed on earth and how different plants and animals are related to each other. Often we can work out how and how and where they lived, and use this information to find out  about ancient environments. Fossils can tell us about the past.

kelp are large brown algae that live in cool, relatively shallow waters close to the shore. they grow in dense groupings much like a forest on land. these underwater towers of kelp provide food and shelter for thousands of fish, invertebrates, and marine mammal species.
