Then carbon cycle starts by carbon moving from the atmosphere to plants. The carbon then moves from plants to animals. And then it moves from plants and animals to soil. The carbon then moves from living things back to the atmosphere. Carbon also moves to the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels. carbon also moves from the atmosphere to the oceans. Carbon is a life sustaining element . The carbon cycle is important because it move carbon throughout different ecosystems.
