The respiratory system and circulatory system work together to obtain oxygen (O2) from the atmosphere and eliminate carbon dioxide (CO2) from cells.

During inhalation, the lungs capture oxygen (O2) from the atmosphere, which is required by cells to perform cellular respiration.Subsequently, O2 moves from the pulmonary alveoli of the respiratory system to red blood cells of the circulatory system through small blood vessels called capillaries.The red blood cells carry O2 and nutrients to all cells of the body and also transport CO2 (which is generated as a byproduct of cellular respiration) to the lungs of the respiratory system, where it is eliminated during exhalation.

In conclusion, the respiratory system and circulatory system work together to obtain oxygen (O2) from the atmosphere and eliminate carbon dioxide (CO2) from cells.

The respiratory system helps get oxygen in your lungs. then, the circulatory system helps distribute the oxygen and red blood cells carry the oxygen to where your body needs it. the red blood cells also take carbon dioxide from the cells, which then travels to the lungs and the lungs exhale the carbon dioxide out.
