"Hace unos días que vine a realizar un trabajo de desratización, con cebaderos para evitar que las aves comieran el producto que contiene avena, alpiste y otros componentes que ingieren esos animales, el
dueño de la propiedad me preguntó si las ardillas también comerían el producto. Yo le comenté que era poco probable porque esos animales por lo general se desplazan por los árboles. Pero el señor no se quedó muy convencido y me explicó que habían visto unos animales algo extraños circulando por los árboles pero que hacían sus nidos en la parte baja del tronco de los árboles.
Los animales parecían una mezcla de rata y ardilla.
El cuestionó a uno de los guardabosques del lugar y le confirmó que se han presentado cruzas
entre ratas y ardillas, es decir hay una especie que podría llamarse 'ratardillas”
