Flotovoltaic is the development of water bodies for the generation of solar power by mounting solar on platforms placed over a water body rather than on land

2) With agrovoltaics, solar power, breeding of livestock, and crop production can take place on the the same land which increases profitability and reduces the cost of electricity production by solar energy

3) The efficiency of the generation of power from solar energy on the agrovoltaic system is lower than the efficiency of solar power generation through the agrovoltaic system

The similarities are;

1) Both systems seek to maximize the use of space for solar power generation

2) The source of power generation is solar power in both systems

3) Both systems make use of solar panels for the generation of electricity
