What is occurring in Stage IV? Prophase II: two daughter cells have formed and are preparing for cell division. Interphase I: the chromatids have condensed and are preparing for cell division. Telophase I: the sister chromatids have separated and are preparing for independent assortment. Anaphase I: the genetically different homologous pairs separate and prepare for independent assortment.
