There are fewer fish in the creek that runs by my house this year. I would like to find out why. I am going to set
up an experiment to test my hypothesis that the fish are dying due to the fertilizer that is being used at a new
factory up the creek. I set up two aquariums and give them the same exact conditions and put the same types and
number of fish in them. In one of the tanks I will add a gram of fertilizer each day for one year. I will make
periodic observations of the number of fish over the course of the year.
5. What is the experimental group?
a. The tank without the added fertilizer
b. The fish
c. The water
d. The tank with the fertilizer
