Forecast like a Meteorologist Exploration
Part 1
Use the data on the weather map from July 4, 2006 to create a weather map and a weather forecast for the next day. Include the locations of fronts, highs, lows, and precipitation.
Use these forecasting tips to create the weather maps:
β’ If there is a lot of water vapor in the air and a cold front is approaching, precipitation is most likely on its way, too.
β’ A change in air pressure means there will most likely be a change in weather. Falling air pressure generally means rain. Rising air pressure generally means clearing skies.
β’ Air masses and fronts generally move west to east.
Use these tips to create a written forecast:
β’ Write as if you are a weather forecaster explaining the forecast to a viewing audience.
β’ Explain the weather maps.
β’ Describe changes in pressure, temperature, and precipitation.

Elements and compounds are pure substances that cannot be broken down physically into a simpler substance. a physical change doesnβt break the bonds between atoms of a substance or form new ones. compounds can be broken down by a chemical change. a chemical change breaks chemical bonds and/or forms new ones between atoms of a substance. what simple substance would a compound break into? the basic elements that make it up! for example, if you passed a very strong electric current through water youβd break the chemical bonds in water and be left with oxygen and hydrogen. which of the following is an example of a chemical change? a separating water into different glasses b breaking frozen ice cubes with a hammer c running an electric current through water d boiling water to evaporate it on a stove
