Why is the ovum so much bigger than a sperm cell?
1)It already contains all the chromosomes that will determine the zygote's traits.
2)It must store enough food for the growth of the zygote into an embryo.
3)Its big size allows the sperm to locate it better inside the oviduct.
4)A big ega is easier to implant in the uterus after tertilization.
