Adaptation of Aquatic plants in water:

Adaptation is the unique character that helps plants and animals to survive in a particular region or climate. There are many plants that exists in a particular area where it can adapt itself with the climatic condition of that particular area. They can adapt themselves in cold regions. They change their physical structure like making their leaves to face all different directions so that they can do photosynthesis process even during colder temperature.

For example: Paintbrushes and Sagebrush.

Some other examples includes adaptation of aquatic plants in water. Since they all live in water they have benefits of conserving energy by preventing the growth of extensive root system. Since water is plenty and easily available for them, they are not in need of saving them for future. Pollination is an issue for them, and so most of the plants like lilies have their flowers above the water level.
