How do cells take in nutrients for growth and development

There are three types of nutrients that cells use. Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats. Proteins are used by the body when they are broken down to produce amino acids. Amino acids are used to create more new proteins which can help with growth. Carbohydrates are a main source of glucose that our bodies use for energy. All carbohydrates such as sugars and starches turn into glucose which turn into energy through Cellular Respiration. Fats help our bodies build tissues that surround and protect important organs. Fats can also serve as a backup fuel. The products of cellular respiration are oxygen and glucose. Oxygen which we breathe in and our red blood cells carry them to the mitochondria react with the glucose which we get from carbohydrates in a chemical reaction. The reaction then produces Carbon Dioxide which gets released back into the atmosphere when we breathe, Water which gets released when we sweat from working out our muscles, and ATP which is the molecule that carries energy where it is needed.
