Explain the two factors that determine how easily water can move through underground materials.

The water stays there and forms a water table, ( example: when you dig in sand and reach water ) What are two factors determine how easily water can move through underground materials...?  Water underground trickles down down between preamble materials like, soil a through cracks and space in a layers rock.
