A meteor came from space and hit the surface of the Earth, which cause Earth to be covered by debris sent flying by the impact. The name of the meteorite is Chicxulub. The debris blocked the skies for many years, which cause the planet to chill and kill dinosaurs. At the same time volcanos were also erupting, releasing dangerous gases and chemicals into the ocean that acidified it, causing aquamarine life to die as well.
