GAMMA RAYS : Its wavelength (lambda) <0.1 Ao, where 1 Ao (Armstrong) is equal to 10 -10m. They originate in nuclear disintegrations that emit gamma radiation. They are very penetrating and very energetic.

X- RAYS: They are produced by oscillations of the electrons near the nuclei.

UVA RAYS: They are produced by electronic jumps between atoms and excited molecules
