The studies and observation made by Professor Kwang Jeon on amoebas essentially lead to the discovery of endosymbiotic theory. Wherein infection-causing x bacteria attacked amoebas, and amoebas develop a sort of resistance to x bacteria. In the initial part of the attack, amoebas were strongly affected by x bacteria, but months later, those amoebas which survived the attacked were able to produced healthy offsprings with x bacteria still thriving on their bodies. It’s interesting how amoebas develop a sort of resistance to x bacteria. But that was not just simple resistance but technically a relationship, because when antibiotics were used to kill x bacteria the amoebas also died. X bacteria have become a part of the amoeba’s system — developing a sort of endosymbiosis.
