Ms. golightly was diagnosed with breast cancer. the tumor was removed along with a large area of surrounding tissue and lymph nodes. this type of surgical procedure is called resection.

This type of surgical procedure is called en bloc resection. It involves the resection of a large tumor without the use of dissection method. It is being used in some cancer type in order to remove the contiguous lymph nodes and anything in between.
