2. Fill the graduated cylinder with 8.0 mL of water.
3. Add 2 paper clips to the water in the graduated cylinder. Determine how much the volume of water increases. This
increase in volume is the volume of the paper clips. Record the value.
4. Repeat this process to find and record the volume of 4 paper clips and then 6 paper clips.
5. Density is mass in grams divided by volume in cubic centimeters (cm). One mL is equal to 1 cm. Calculate and
record the density of the steel used in the paper clips.
