Osteoporosis is a disease when the density of the bone is decreased. The bone will have reduced strength and at higher risk for fracture. 
Endocrine system has a role in calcium level maintenance. One of the organs would be parathyroid. Parathyroid control the rate of bone build and breakdown. Hyperparathyroid will cause more bone breakdown, thus can cause osteoporosis.
Estrogen hormone also has a role in bone resorption and deposition. The population that has a higher risk of osteoporosis is old postmenopause woman. Using this information you can identify a person with an endocrine disease that at risk for osteoporosis, then prevent it.
