These jars show the set-up from francesco redi's experiment with meat and maggots. after a few days of sitting out, the covered jar did not have any maggots in it. what is the most likely explanation for this? a. the maggots left the jar before it was covered. b. the meat in the covered jar was not the type of meat that the flies liked. c. the flies could not get into the jar to lay their eggs. d. the covered jar was not left out long enough to turn into maggots.
