Highly folded cells surface helps the epithelial cell to absorb soluble food by increasing by surface area. Highly folded cells surface gives a larger surface area for the cell which increase the capacity of the cell to absorb soluble food in much more easier and effective manner. Hence highly folded cells increases the surface area of cells
