An excessive amount of carbon dioxide can harm people because of lack of fresh air which can be devastating for our lungs. Environmental policies on reducing oil consumption or fossil fuel consumption, for example, can lead to better overall air quality which helps people. Same thing applies to water. Environmental policies regarding water treatment and water protection can help people because they will have higher amounts of fresh water available. Using less manure is also an environmental policy that helps our health because it prevents poisoning the soil which transfers to food that is grown there.
