Plants are autotrophic organisms which means they can prepare their own food by the process of photosynthesis. They have vascular tissues like xylem and phloem which allow them to transport water and food respectively all plant organs. The cell wall of plant is made up of cellulose, cell wall is the structural layer outside the cell membrane. Cellulose provides rigidity to the cell wall.

Fungi are hetrotrophic organisms which means they prepare their food by decaying plant and animals remains. The cell wall is made up of chitin and glucans which have function in providing stability to cell. They lack chlorophyll because they do not produce food by photosynthesis.
