Inbreeding is defined as mating or breeding of individuals that are closely related to each other such as organisms that are related in which is done to produce offspring.

Three effects that inbreeding cam have on a population are the following;

-          Susceptibility to disease will be decreased

-          Offspring number will be reduced

-          Genetic variability is decreased

I think the effects of interbreeding in a population would include; reducing the number of offspring, decreasing genetic variability and decreasing susceptibility to a disease. Interbreeding involves introduction of genetic material from one populatio
of a species to another, thereby changing the composition of the gene pool of the receiving population. Therefore, the introduction of new alleles through gene flow increases variability within the population and makes possible new combinations of traits.
