Identify and describe one of the ecosystems in a southern african biome

CHAPARRAL is an arid biome typically identified by short bushes or succulents.

Chaparral is characterized as being very hot and dry. Fires and drought is very common in this biome. It also has different type of terrains like flat plains, mountain slopes and rocky hills. 

Plants found in Chaparral have small, hard leaves which hold moisture to compensate the lack of water in the area. Some of these plants are Yucca wiple, poison oak, scrub oak, others shrubs, trees, and cacti.

Spherical shaped cell might increase the surface area and decrease the volume.
