Reinforcements of schedule or Schedule reinforcements is a technique that is used in psychology known as operant conditioning. This technique helps to modify, manipulate or correct the behaviour of people through the use of reinforcers or punishers.

Reinforcement of schedule can be defined as the process whereby specific rules are used to reinforce or remove the used of punishers in operant conditioning.

We have four types of reinforcements schedules and each one varies or is classified based on the level of response which they give. They are:

a. Fixed interval schedules

b. Variable interval schedules

c. Fixed ratio schedules

d. Variable ratio schedules
