With the internet, today's youth has a lot of social action taking place from behind a computer screen. It can lead to loss of social skills. The internet affects youth's ability to communicate up close and personal with friends and family. They don’t know how to hold a conversation. Take away their cell phones and tablets, they will withdraw and don’t know what to do with their time or become sullen. Hours in front of a computer on the internet also lends to the obesity problem plaguing American youth. Lack of exercise isn’t the only physical problem.
