Cons

A lot of competition. Since online marketing is cheap, the barrier to entry is very low allowing for pretty much anyone to advertise. Scams. Since the internet can get shady in some parts, some marketing tricks are unethical and others are illegal. People should be wary of what they click on. Having pop-up blockers and anti-malware programs should help. Legitimate businesses have to be careful not to craft their online ad to avoid making it sound like a scam.Information overload. This is somewhat related to the idea of competition mentioned earlier. With access to tons of information 24/7, people are inundated by so much that some just tune out the noise in a way. Standing out from others is hard to do. Also, with people on the go more, people have less time to view advertisements and try to avoid them.
