. coolIn the first diary note, Anne Frank acts more like a kid. She is also very excited about her birthday, especially about her diary. Anne also doesn't have any real friends at the start. Anne also writes to Kitty. A fictional character.

On Saturday, June 20, 1942, her diary notes are getting darker, talking more about Hitler's anti-Jewish laws. Anne Frank's freedom was significantly diminished by these laws. Anne and her family had to wear a yellow star, and could only go out between 8 A.M and 6 P.M. Anne's grandmother then got very sick close to Anne's last birthday before she got the diary so her birthday was sadly not very celebrated. Then in 1942 when grandma died her birthday was celebrated with her new diary and her grandmother's candle was lit.

A little more into Anne's diary it starts to become more quiet and nice. Anne even made new friends and started a club named "The little dipper minus two." Anne also seemed to have found a new friend, which is coincidentally also her admirer. The class is all dreading whether they will pass or fail the grade because of the upcoming meeting with all of the teachers. But Anne and her friends are not because they aren't that bad at any of the subjects. Except for Anne, who isn't too sure about math as she isn't as good as the rest of her subjects. The same evening when Anne finished her homework her eye caught the note of an essay. For the essay, she needed to come up with a convincing argument about the necessity of talking. Anne finished the essay by talking about how she talked a lot and that it was a female trait inherited by her mom. The class and the teacher had a good laugh and for the whole two classes the teacher had nothing to complain about but in the third class the teacher gave her another essay titled "quack quack quack." Anne needed to come up with a poem when her friend Sanne who is very good at poetry offered to help Anne write a poem. Anne finished her poem and it was about a father duck and a baby duck who would never stop quacking so the father duck bit the duck to death. On a sweltering June 24, 1942, Anne had just one more week left of school until summer break, and she had a dentist appointment that day. A second cousin of her friend Wilmer went up to her and asked if he could accompany her to school. His name was Hello Shilmberg. Anne said yes and the next day he was waiting again. Anne supposed he would be waiting day after day. Hello was going to come over to Anne's place that evening. On Monday evening Hello came over again and this time Anne bought a cake and some candies and they had tea and cookies. After that, Anne and Hello went to take a walk. But Hello dropped Anne off at 10 past 8:00. Anne was greeted by her very furious father. So Anne had to promise to be back home by 10 before 8:00. Towards the end of the book Anne is starting to have a smaller ego and for good reason, as she is taken from her family. The diary ends on August 1st, 1944, when she and many others are killed in a nazi death camp. Three days before the British liberate the camp.
