Can somebody make the essay ACTIVITY: IS THERE TRUTH IN ADVERTISING?

Have you ever seen an advertisement for something that you thought was too good to be true? It may have been!

Visit the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Truth In Advertising web site.

Read about the work the FTC does to protect consumers. Identify three instances of fraud or deception in advertising listed on the FTC's web site. Look for examples in the same industry or in similar industries. Write a report describing each instance of fraud and how the FTC responded to it. Compare and contrast the responses. Which are the same or similar? Which are different? Why do you think the FTC responde the way it did?

Guidelines:
Create a report of 750-1,000 words or at least 10 detailed slides using presentation software like PowerPoint.

1. Provide a brief overview of the industry and of each of the three instances of fraud.
2. Provide a description of the FTC's response to each and note areas where the responses are the same or different.
3. Explain why you think the FTC responded the way it did and how the actions protected consumers.
4. Using information you gleaned from these instances of fraud, explain two or three steps that marketers in other companies in this industry can take to ensure they do not commit this fraud or deception.
5. Use at least three sources in addition to the FTC's web site, at least one must be an offline source.
6. Include a reference page.
