One of the hardest part of the business is to establish your brand/presence in the market, and it tend took a lot of  time for new brands to be able to gain recognition from the market.

When you choose to own a franchise, you can leverage on the reputation of an already successful brand.  This mean that you can skip the phase where you have to spend years and countless amount of money to establish your presence.

The only disadvantages are that your management practice is limited to the franchise's standard and you have to pay some percentage of your income to the franchise in return.
