I like to think of things as building blocks. (Especially in science)

For example,

In Photosynthesis, sunlight and water are used to make glucose. That fuels the plants, so that plant eating animals can have nutrients. Then those plant eating animals are eaten by carnivores. It's like a step, each one is different.

So, with an organism we have:

cell -> organ -> organ system -> organism

So, an organism is (4. an individual form of life)
