1. first, solve for the total amount of naoh used:
initial amount ml naoh – final amount ml naoh = total ml naoh used

50ml-30ml=20ml of naoh < (i did this)

2. next, solve for the moles of hcl in the flask using its known concentration:
ml naoh used x 1 l x molarity naoh x 1 mol hcl = mol hcl
1000 ml 1 mol naoh

3. lastly, solve for the molarity of hcl. be sure to convert the volume of hcl solution from ml to l before plugging into the equation below.
mol hcl = concentration (m) of the hcl solution
l hcl
ph=-log[h30+]
h+=-log[-0.30]
h+= -0.5228
you have to start by adding the ph, then proceeding by solving using logarithms.
